"I'm so glad that my children had a substitute teacher for a week," said NO parent ever! Keeping educators healthy should be a top priority for a school district. Students learn better with a healthy highly qualified certificated teacher in the classroom. Students' mental and physical health needs are better met when a healthy nurse and counselor are available. Teachers are more creative when they are healthy. All educators are better able to meet the diverse needs of students when they are healthy.

During the pandemic it has become crystal clear that having educators working with students is absolutely critical for their academic, social, and emotional growth. A district's priority needs to be a healthy workforce, and maintaining affordable benefits is a key to that goal.
